Senior Management

Murithi Philip

Chief Executive Officer

Philip is the Chief Executive Officer of Wonderfulpeople. He is tasked with Wonderfulpeople’s Business Operations and Strategic Transformation Agenda. Philip is also responsible for Daily Operations, Strategic Partnerships, Wonderfulpeople’s funding Strategy and Asset Optimization. With over 12 years’ experience in Operations, Microfinance and Banking, Philip joined Wonderfulpeople in 2020 from Yehu Microfinance Services Ltd where he was Operations Officer from 2017. Prior to this role, Philip was Head of Operations at Kemnet Ltd where he spearheaded the use of Internet/Social Network Marketing to enhance e-commerce sales. Prior to joining Kemnet, Philip worked with Cooperative Bank Forex Department as well as in Faulu Kenya DTM where he started as a management trainee and rose through the ranks to become Senior Finance Partner. Philip holds a Bachelor of Business Management Degree from Moi University and Masters in Business Administration (Finance Option) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

Elias Yaa

Director Finance

Elias heads the Finance and Risk function and is responsible for Wonderfulpeople’s overall Financial Planning, Management, and Audit. He has been instrumental in setting up structures for effective organizational controls. Elias has over 10 years’ experience in Finance, Audit and Risk Management in the finance industry. Prior to joining Wonderfulpeople, Elias worked at Yehu Microfinance Services Ltd where he served in various capacities in Finance and Auditing. Elias is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Option) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Marygoretti Kitur

HEAD OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Marygoretti is Wonderfulpeople’s head of Business Administration. She is responsible for ensuring that each Wonderfulpeople customer/staff is satisfactorily serviced and that the organization runs smoothly within the laid down policies and procedures. She joined Wonderfulpeople from Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) where she took part in the growth of the business through the farmers’ development initiative. She holds a Bachelor of Economics and Mathematics from Kirinyaga University.

Enos J. Mramba

Head of Corporate Affairs & Special Operations

Enos heads the corporate affairs and Special Operations Department. He has over 14 years’ experience in Asset Financing, ICT Solutions and Business Development. Enos’ key mandate is overseeing the Company’s Special Projects and Operations which are firmly anchored to the Business Development. Enos is tasked with mitigation of asset risk as well as recovery which is vital for business sustainability. Enos is also tasked with spearheading other corporate affairs of the business as well as constant engagement with suppliers and other stakeholders for effective service delivery. In addition he is tasked with identification of potential investors for much desired financial investment. Enos holds a Diploma in Business & ICT Communication Solutions from Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) and a BBIT in Business Data Analytics & Intelligence (MySQL) from University of Udemy California. Enos also has other numerous certifications chief among them Business Entrepreneurship and Cisco Programs in CCNA Network Associate/ CCNP-Network Protocol.

Moses Kirimi Murungi

Chairman of the Board

Moses is an experienced and passionate IT professional with over 15 years of practical experience in the industry. He is well versed in computer networks, hardware and software, user support, as well as systems troubleshooting and customization. His interaction with industry best proprietary applications such as SAP-ERP, CATOS, Fortis and many others sets him apart from his peers. He has successfully built and managed high performing teams to implement strategy and drive innovation in ICT for product development, execution and deployment in business support. He is currently serving as Assistant Port Security Officer in charge of Security Systems at Kenya Ports Authority. Moses holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology among other certifications.

Elias Yaa

Michael Muthami Ngunjiri

Director Legal Affairs

Michael is a practicing lawyer and an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He has been instrumental in championing the cause of the underrepresented and under-privileged in the society. His keenness and attention to detail have earned him an enviable position in the Kenyan Legal Fraternity. He holds a Bachelor of Law from Moi University as well as Diploma from Kenya School of Law.

Betsy Kendi Mirithu

Director Human Resource

Kendi is a practising member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) a Strategic HR Professional, and a global business negotiation expert, with over 15 years’ extensive experience that entails day to day running of businesses, developing and implementing HR strategies and Policies, overseeing operations, ensuring compliance in Renewable Energy, ICT, Real Estate and Legal sectors. She is currently the M.D at Alkay Consulting Ltd.

Dr. David Gitonga

Director Business Development

Dr. David is a dynamic leader, visionary and a strategic decision maker in stable, nascent, and unstable environments with high level of motivation, personal commitment and demonstrated ethical standards. Dr. David has a Head of State commendation (HSC), holds a PhD in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, Master of Science in Finance and Investment, Masters in Integrated Water Resources Management and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering. Dr. Gitonga has Extensive Technical Experience in Senior Management and Leadership positions having served with the United Nations, Governments and Private Sector both locally and internationally. He has developed partnerships, planned and implemented social and economic infrastructure in both development and humanitarian contexts. He possesses key sectorial experience in Livestock, Agriculture, Fishery, Water, Energy, Roads, Environment, Natural Resources, Disaster Management, as well as Finance and Investment. Dr. Gitonga has research interests in Sustainable Development published in Energy, Corporate Governance and Water Journals. He has wide-ranging international experience and has worked in such countries as Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia.

Eng. Jackson Muthamia Munoru

Director Green Energy and Renewable Products

Eng. Muthamia Jackson Munoru is the current Meru County CECM for Water, Irrigation, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change. He holds M.Sc in Environmental and Natural Resource Management from African Nazarene University and a B.Sc (Hon) in Geospatial Engineering from the University of Nairobi. Eng. Muthamia has over 11 years of professional experience, ten of which were spent in the national and county government of Meru. He has held various positions including Chief Officer for Water and Irrigation from May 2020 to 2023, March. Eng. Muthamia has also served as the Director of the Water and Irrigation Department, Head of the Survey and Drilling Unit, Acting Director of Environment and Natural Resources, and Assistant Director of Research and Development. He has also served as a board Member Meru Urban Water and Sanitation Corporation for three years. Eng.Muthamia has also been a member of various human resource advisory committees and is a member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya. Eng. Muthamia has also undergone various training programs including the Corporate Governance, Senior Management Course and Strategic Leadership Development Program at the Kenya School of Government.

Alex Mwiti Kungutia

Director information technology

Alex is a Versatile IT Savvy Entrepreneur serving on the Board of Advisors for multiple technology startups. A Technologist with a strong business acumen and demonstrated history of working in telecommunication and internet industry. Extensive knowledge of International Fiber network, global IP transit, peering, cloud solutions IaaS, SaaS and PaaS. A seasoned negotiator with excellent leadership and communication skills, he has architectured win-win partnerships that have delivered excellent results even in the most challenging environments. He enjoys building and leading high performing teams that drive innovation and implement strategy in areas of product development and execution, high value Investments in ICT and business in general. His main experience lies in B2B, SaaS, B2C and building solutions that foster growth by creating a network effect between the business and customer.
